About Community Business Partnership

We fund small business growth.

Created in 1995, Community Business Partnership is a non-profit, 501(c)(3) tax exempt organization working in collaboration with a number of local, regional and national organizations to promote small business growth.

“We help start, grow, and finance small businesses.”

We seek to be the premier provider of a full spectrum of direct financing opportunities and support services that advances the success rate of small business owners that enables them to make a significant contribution to a vibrant regional community.

Our Core Business


Community Business Partnership, as an approved SBA Intermediary Microlender and CDFI-certified organization, is hyper-focused on helping startups and small businesses get access to capital, development assistance, and other support necessary to grow successful companies.

Through our core business function we actively finance qualified startups and small businesses in most industries.

Our Clients


We serve startups and existing small business owners including women, veterans, and minorities primarily located in the DMV Metropolitan region. The business owners we serve are across most business sectors and have a wide range of financial positions. However, we focus on supporting micro-enterprises that are underbanked and underserved in our community.

CBP's Supporters


CBP management and staff are contracted annually through an agreement with George Mason University and a representatives from the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority and the Fairfax County Small Business Commission have permanent seats on the CBP Board of Directors.
