This webinar will present an overview of the Federally funded Small Business Innovation Research (SBIR) programs, commonly known as “America’s Seed Fund”. The program awards over $4B annually to small, US based companies to perform early stage R&D. The goal of SBIR is to commercialize or transition new, innovative technology to meet the needs of the funding agency. 11 Federal agencies participate, including DOD, NASA, Dept of Energy, National Science Foundation, NIH, Dept of Transportation, EPA, USDA, Homeland Security, Education, NOAA and NIST. Learn about how each agency participates, funding levels available, solicitation cycles, commercialization goals, and more. Attendees will also learn about VIPC’s SBIR support program available to Virginia based companies. Session if funded in part through a Cooperative Agreement between VIPC and the U.S. Small Business Administration.
